ADB Jazz Overview

• This year, Concert Band and Jazz Band auditions will take place at two separate times. As always, students may audition for either or both.

• Auditions for Jazz Band are due no later than: Friday, December 11th at 11:59pm 

​

• Fully signed contracts must be uploaded with audition videos.

 

• Only complete video auditions can be accepted and scored. Please review videos before submitting.

​

• Make sure the backing track can clearly be heard in your recording, if applicable. ​​

​

• HS Lead Trumpet is an optional audition component. If you wish to be considered for lead, you must perform the standard trumpet audition and the optional lead etude. 

​

• HS Woodwind Doubler (clarinet/flute) etudes are not included this year. If a student wishes to audition for flute or clarinet, please submit 1) a primary audition on a standard jazz instrument first, if able and 2) submit a second audition on the secondary WW instrument. Students may transpose a trumpet or sax etude to do so. Their doubler audition will not incur a separate audition fee.

    • Wed., Mar. 31  from 6:00pm - 9:00pm 

    • Thu., Apr. 1 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm

    • Fri., Apr. 2 from 9:00am - 4:00pm

  • Concert

    • Fri., Apr. 2 at the Leesburg High School Auditorium, 6:30pm - Free admission!
